When To See a Dentist
Dental emergencies can happen when you are least expecting them, but our team is here to help and will treat the dental emergency quickly and carefully. It’s a good idea to see a dentist If your child if suffering from any of these symptoms or injuries:
- Throbbing and painful toothache
- Lost filling
- Chipped or broken tooth
- Knocked-out tooth
- Traumatic injury
If dental emergencies are left untreated it can lead to more significant problems, so don’t wait to get them checked-out.
How to Prevent Dental Emergencies
As a parent there are some things you can do to make sure your child doesn’t experience a dental emergency. Eliminating any tripping hazards in or around your home is a great start, as well as having your child wear a helmet when they are playing sports or doing dangerous activities. Also, having your child at a dentist every six months for dental cleanings and exams can do wonders for helping your child’s teeth stay strong.
